Personal Bio

My name is Celeste, I am the Speakers Bureau & Outreach Coordinator at Planned Parenthood Arizona. I have a Masters in Sociology from USC and I have been an elementary teacher and a social worker in the past.
I am an Army Brat who went to high school in Sierra Vista then moved to Southern California to live for almost 20 years. I moved back to Tucson in January of 2008 and am very interested in becoming a contributing member of the Black Community in Tucson.

Planned Parenthood is the largest sexual health organization in Arizona. We see over 100,000 health care patients annually, and reach nearly 30,000 teens and adults through education, outreach, and advocacy efforts. Planned Parenthood operates 19 health center locations in the greater Phoenix area, Tucson, Flagstaff, Globe, Prescott, and Yuma.

Health Services
Planned Parenthood health centers are comfortable places to go for honest information and compassionate care. Services are convenient and affordable, and are covered by many insurance plans. Among the services we offer are:
Gynecological exams
Birth control consultation and supplies
Screening and treatment for STIs
Vaccinations
Medication and surgical abortion
Pregnancy testing and counseling

Sexual health patient consultation

Education
Planned Parenthood offers unbiased, medically accurate programs for teens and parents aimed at promoting sexual health and reducing sexually transmitted infections, HIV, and unintended pregnancies among young people in our communities.

Youth Programs
Planned Parenthood has Teen Advisory Group (TAG) programs in Phoenix and Tucson that involve teens in the important work of providing medically accurate sexual and reproductive health information to their peers.

Advocacy
Planned Parenthood is a strong voice for Arizonans at the local and state levels of government. Our legislative advocacy ensures that Arizona families have access to sexual and reproductive health care and information.

Planned Parenthood is affiliated with the Planned Parenthood Advocates of Arizona, the statewide political and advocacy arm.
