When it comes to spittin’ rhymes Chillin’ captures the attention of all crowds.
Her poetry is described as uplifting, inspirational, thought provoking and lyrical.
Originally from Chicago , Il , her poetic pieces are original reflecting personal journeys from the streets to the spirit.
A graduate of Upper Iowa University and a nationally ranked Slam Poet, her gift of spoken word has touched audiences across the world.
The SaYes2Poetry --- a performance poetry program founded by Chillin’---- was created to give novice poets --- especially teens --- a platform to have their original thoughts heard.
She possesses an innate bond with the youth through writing and imaginative designs. Combining writings and designs she has helped many tap into their God given gifts and talents.
Chillin enjoys meeting new people from various parts of the world and has traveled to Daker , Senegal , West Africa to perform and connect with her roots.
Chillin has loved poetry from birth.
During the 9 months she spent in her mother's
womb she was blessed with inspiration
from The Last Poets, Gil-Scott Heron,
The Songs of Solomon and the Book of Psalms.
On June 30, 1969, her mother gave birth to
a beautiful, black female poet.
All original, poetic pieces are personal journeys
from the streets to the spirit.
She possesses an AAA degree from Hawkeye Community College,
a BS degree in Business from Upper Iowa University and a MBA from Upper Iowa University.

Tucson in August from Cleveland OH. Although I do not write poetry my favorite thing to do in Cleveland is attend the events at the different spoken word venues. I have been so nervous that I would not find anything like that In Tucson. Can you help me out and tell me that I will not be bored to death in Tucson.
