- Personal Bio
- I am the widow of an Air Force veteran of the first Gulf War. My children came to Tucson 17 years ago after serving with my husband overseas for nearly 6 years. After my husband's death, I came to Tucson, bought a home for my children, had a breakdown, went into therapy, and later went back to school. I finished my AA in Liberal Arts for Transfer degree at Pima Community College in 1995; my BA in Psychology was completed in 1998; and, I received my MA in Professional Counseling in 2002. I am licensed as an Associate Counselor and plan to apply for my license as a Professional Counselor later this year. My goal is either to go back for a doctorate in Psychology with a minor in Africana Studies or to start my own counseling business within the next five years.

Many of you who have been following my blog, know about my son's severe illness in the fall of 2006. Because his health insurance plan would not approve a private nurse to keep him from aspirating his own vomit during the night, I decided to put my life on hold, to move into the hospital, and to make sure the neurologist's orders were followed all the time.
