- The manifestation of Glorified began in the mind of Kelvin Lewis after a Tye Tribbett concert he attended. Already well versed in music and composition and working in the music industry, Kelvin decided from that point on that following Christ would be the way his music would be discovered. Frustrated with his lack of spiritual growth in his ministry, Kelvin decided to take a step out on faith and craft an album that would change the scope of gospel music for years to come.
With influences ranging from Stevie Wonder, Musiq Soulchild, Prince, Kirk Franklin, Tye Tribbett, and YPJ, Glorified looks to take his innovative yet familiar style of gospel music to bring people closer to Christ. Consisting of close friends and associates, Kelvin Lee has assembled a unique group of talented and anointed singers to take his vision to the next level. Many gospel artists tend to focus on bringing people to Christ, but do not explain how you receive his glory and eternal salvation. Reciting scriptures and going to church is not enough, however Romans 8:28 clearly explains the 3 stages of Christian development!!
Glorified is currently in the process of recording their debut album entitled “Glorified Vol. 1: The Bridge 2 Heaven” in May of 2009. Their current single “How I Made It Over” is a refreshing and stirring remix of the classic song “I Shall Wear A Crown.” Fusing neo-soul, hip-hop, rock, and gospel elements, this single looks to transcend the gospel industry.
