Personal Bio

My story.... I'm a wife and mother of three, business owner and community leader. Early on I experienced and experimented with several issues that many young women face today.

Teen pregnancy at age 19, struggles in education, physical and sexual abuse, identity struggles, the sense of being lost, rejected, and ultimately displaying suicidal behaviors. However, I knew that despite all that I had experienced there was more, there was GREATER for me.

With God's strength,support from spiritual leaders I arose and made a personal commitment to not only create better for myself and my family, but to the young women around me.

I chose to take my storm and produce rainbows, courage, hope, transformation, and determination for others.

In 2005, I established “Young Women Arising In Transition” also known as YWAIT. This organization was created to provide an avenue for young women to arise in any situation and or transition. It was designed to encourage women to live the life that God designed for them. It was designed to allow young women to learn and embrace who they are and to create legacies worth following for the generations to come.

I express my passion to teach and empower young women to be over comers and to be transformed by the renewing of their minds; and to live life with integrity and pure morals.

YWAIT also teaches young women how important it is to abstain from sex until marriage, while teaching on sexually transmitted diseases. YWAIT also took on the mission to help young women who are with child to establish themselves with purity, higher self-esteem, continuing education, jobs/ careers, and to keep their current household size until marriage.

YWAIT is a faith-based community initiative designed to empower and equip young women from diverse cultures and walks of life. It is designed to create doors of knowledge and momentum to obtain total wholeness; mind, body and soul.

Our purpose is to help challenge and encourage young women to create a legacy worth following for not only today but also for the generations
to come.

Our focus age ranges from 8 to 28 years of age however not exclusively.
