It was my pleasure to have you attend and join me and others for the 50th Motown Anniversary Celebration. You have been the light that lit the path for the cultural artform we appreciate in the Ole Pueblo for a while. I am pleased I was able to provide you with a moment to sit and enjoy instead of being the performer for once.
Glad you enjoyed the evening!
May you continue to be blessed with good health and a desire to inspire.
I look forward to meeting you soon as well. You knew my mother Pastor Joyce Collins and I remember your influence and inspiration from my teenage years in Tucson.
Yes maim we were! And we will be doing it again Nov. 8th at our Go-To-High School, Go-To-College Symposium over in the ILC on campus and I will send you an e-mail about that later on so you will be in the loop if you want to drop by or bring some kids through there that are in the 9th - 12th grade to participate in the program!

Hello Barbea. i've been watching your dancing for years. You're great! You may not remember me, I was once a reporter at the local newspaper and covered one of your performances. We'll I've moved on to other things now and am loving what I do. God bless you. What a wonderful thing you do in our community.
Hey Barbea hope your dance school is going well, I'm still interested in my daugther Kyara being apart of the school. Know you're busy with the kick off, give me a call when you get a chance.
The meeting went well, great turnout for a first time. This was a planning, brainstorming gathering of people interested in promoting, revitalizing, listing events for the Black History Month 2009. Next meeting, Thursday, Sept. 4th, 6pm. Jon Covington chaired the meeting and folks from UA, Rayban, fraternities, Juneteenth, TUL, Dunbar and others were present.
I proposed a play called "Fly" and targeted the NAACP 100TH celebration. Nothing was voted or confirmed. People seemed interested, I copied and passed out the reviews to generate more commitment to the project.... we talked about GEORGE PUCKETT’s web site as a viable tool to keep everyone informed and tuned in for this and other community projects...... Check out the photos on the web site..... Peace, Barbea
No doubt I will be there... Thats my mothers' birthday, how could I forget (smile) Thanks for the heads up. How did the last meeting go? I am glad you made it back in so that we can sit down soon...
Big River is a musical adaptation of Mark Twain's Huckleberry Finn with music written by Roger Miller - "King of the Road". It's not not Hip Hop or Old School, but was pretty cool in its time.
